My Little Garden Gate...

Hey and welcome everyone! I hope everbody is off to a great start this year. The new year for me usually begins with some nesting around the house and scouting out new ways to freshen things up and change things a bit....I usually want the rooms lighter and brighter this time of the year....I've already started looking forward to spring even though the temps are freezing lol! That's just me. I wanted to show you my little garden gate today....

Regular readers of my blog may remember when I found this last year.........

I'm using it to hold some of my vintage hankies and little plaques....

I made this "Forget Me Not" one....from one of my old postcards....
I almost didn't pick this little gate up....because I didn't know where I'd put it at the time...but  I'm glad I brought it on home with me. I knew I'd find a use for it later and sure enough....it's great to display my hankies and little plaques on in my reading room.  I think it'll work.  What do ya think?

I think that nesting around the house is one of the little joys in life and a fun way to start off the New Year....don't you?  Happy nesting to you fellow nesters :)

Thanks for stopping by for a visit today....hope you have a wonderful week!
Big Hugs,
Queenie

My nesting ended today :-( Back to routine. I sure enjoy end of year - hubby takes off work and my son is out of school, we sleep late...

I love your garden gate - how lovely! I saw a pic on pinterest of an old rusty vintage oven rack that someone used to hang on the wall and attach pretties with embellished clothespins - so cute!

Hi Queenie, the gate alone is so cute. Adorned with all of your vintage treasures it's adorable. Love the hankies. Reminds me so much of my sweet mother. The close up one looks just like one she use to have. I do have some of them and have thought I should make them into pillows or something special. Haven't done it yet though. Thanks for the inspiration!

I think you were smart in buying the gate. You are using it in a perfect way. I have several vintage hankies. In fact, I have one exactly like the one with the purple flowers.

A piece like that has so much potential. You could display greeting cards on it that you receive through out the year. I hate to just toss them or put in a pile. Display them instead. Love your old hankies too. xo
