Hello to you....gosh I've missed you all. I know it's been a while since my last post....but I've had so much going on lately that time has gotten away from me and...
There's not been much time for me to post or come out to play in blogland.
You see....My husband had shoulder surgery end of March and I have been sooo busy on the homefront taking care of him, and taking him to doctor appointments and physical therapy. Bless his heart.... no doubt, It's been a lot of stress....I'd be lying if I said that it hasn't . But we've survived and I am thankful to the Lord for seeing us through thus far...... I'm happy to report that he's doing some better now... but He has still got a long way to go on his road to healing and recovery... but he's feeling better and I am thankful for the progress he's made so far. I just wanted to briefly let you know what's been going on with me before I get on with today's post. If you would say a prayer for my husband... it would be so appreciated....
I'll be the first to admit that these past few weeks have been sort of a roller coaster ride for me... with the hubby out of commission with his arm and unable to do anything.
But....
You know what ...
"Perhaps "I" am stronger than I think"
~Thomas Merton
And so are "you"
"Always remember that"
I found a bag of the sweetest hankies to add to my collection this past weekend....
The dainty and floral embroidered ones are my favorite....
I love the crochet lace edged ones too....
And.....The floral ones just make my heart skip a beat....
Which one's do you like the best?
What have you found lately?
I'll be looking forward to seeing.....
By the way I found these at a garage sale and they were all less than $5.00....less than $5.00 for some little works of art and a little piece of history... that I adore...sure can't beat that :)
I'm Linking up with these fun blog parties

Queenie!!!! I *have* been thinking of you and meant to e mail. I thought your computer must be down! What a bunch of news you have! Conrats on the engagement. I know what an emotional time that can be!
Well, you know- that I know all about shoulder surgery and all it entails! I had no idea your hubby had hurt his shoulder!
Bobby's therapist told him that his was one of the best recoveries she had seen and she seemed so surprised that Bobby actually did his home therapy. She said that most people don't so tell hubby to do his therapy!
I'm so glad we had Micah to help Bobby with his because I couldn't STAND to see my big strong man in pain! It didn't phase Micah a bit though and he was such a great "coach".
What a score on your hankies! Ones with scalloped edges are getting harder to find. will you try and make a bunting/banner? I guess the little rose bud one must be my favorite.
Wow, what a long comment, huh? I've missed you and love you! e mail when you can! ♥
Your hankies are so pretty. My very favorite one is the blue dogwood. I'm glad your husband's shoulder is healing well. And that is such exciting news about your son!! Congratulations to the couple on their engagement!!
And I forgot to say... good quote! I admire Thomas Merton.
Congratulations!! Wedding planning is so much fun! I'm just sorry I don't have anymore daughters to plan weddings for...oh well...maybe God will allow me to be here to see the grands get married and help in the planning! Glad your husband is on the mend! Beautiful hanky's too!
What a lovely post. With each new hankie I kept seeing so many possibilities. What a lovely find for $5!! How special that your future DIL appreciated the cake top and gave it such a beautiful makeover. Congratulations on their upcoming wedding.

Oh, you certainly hit the jackpot with those hankies!! I love the dainty little flowers.
What great news and a event to look forward too. I love what you did with that cake topper, and how special and hold special memories too. I love that.
Have a great VTT! Thanks for sharing with us today.
Normally I don't like printed hankies so much, but I'll fight you for the dogwood one. ;-)
Best wishes for the coming weeks!
I love your new hankies. I'm a hankie addict, myself. Congrats.
Great hankies! I have a collection of them as well. I hung black rods over the windows in my studio and bought curtain rings with clips and display them as 'valances.' Wonder what you are going to do with yours?! Nice.
Thanks for becoming one of my newest followers too!

Wow! Do you mean you got that entire stash of vintage goodness for $5.00? I'm always drawn to vintage linens and hankies, but I usually have to pay much more than that!!! What a steal!
I'm sorry to hear about your hubby, but glad he's recovering well. Congrats on the wedding news. It sounds like you will be having a blast, with your new DIL-to be, preparing pretties for the occasion.
Thanks so much for joining me at my cottage. I'm glad you found me and joined as a following friend. I'll be doing the same. I would love to have you join me weekly for my linky party. Anything "family friendly" goes! ;)

My goodness you have been busy. I love those hankies especially the violets and lily of the valley ones. You really got a terrific deal on them. Congratulations on the engagement. I know you must be so excited. ~~Sherry~~
Love the vintage hankies! I used to buy them all the time. I once gave a bridal shower and I made sachets filled with potpourri for each guest using vintage hankies tied with ribbon. Thanks for stopping by my blog and saying hello. Very pretty engagement photo...how exciting!

Hi Queenie- so nice of you to come for a visit! I enjoyed seeing all of your hankies- they are all so pretty and they sure were a fantastic bargain! I am attracted to all kinds of linens, but I am running out of room to store them. LOL - Not to mention that ironing is not one of my favorite things to do! Congrats on your son's upcoming wedding. I'm sure you will have a great time planning things with your future DIL. I look forward to seeing more of your blog posts.

As you know I am not a fan of rollecoasters and we both said it's been a rollercoaster lately...lol. I'm sorry it's taken me so long to get here. I woke up with you on my mind today.
