Roses and Wild Spiderwort

I'd say one of the best things about Spring is.....

Being able to go outside and cut some fresh flowers to enjoy inside.....

These Wild Spiderwort were courtesy of mother nature....they were found growing wildly in the woodline of our property this week....couldn't resist clipping a few...

And....the roses are from my back yard as well. Courtesy of my Aunt Brenda.... who bought me a topiary rose tree last year for my birthday...and I am enjoying every single rose that blooms ....who on earth would ever think I could grow a rose?!  I am happy to report that it's doing great this year :)  I would love to someday try my hand at growing a whole rose garden, that would be sheer bliss!  Maybe one day I will....

I hope you all enjoyed seeing these as much as I've enjoyed sharing them with you :) Also hoping something is blooming beautifully near you ....

"When one flower blooms, spring awakens everywhere"
   ~John O' Donohue

So so true isn't it...I'm so glad spring has fully sprung aren't you?! I think you need not even answer that question...I think the answer would be a big yes right?!

I'm linking up with:
Click the links above and I'll shuttle you over to more fun :)  A special thanks to the hosts of these link party events.

P.S.  I want to thank all who visited me last week and left comments in regards to my son and my hubby......it meant a lot to me and I appreciate the thoughts, well wishes and the congratulations.

Your blossoms are lovely in your vignette. I can't wait for our warm-up to finally happen. It decided to snow yesterday.

Gorgeous photos, Queenie! I didn't know the name of the little purple flowers.."Wild Spiderwort"...but I'm sure I saw some by the road yesterday. I'm going back to take a look & maybe pick some. Thanks for the lesson...I learned something new from you today.

I can't wait to get out and cut some flowers, but wait I must! Still chilly here in NY, and we can't even plant for another month.
So I will enjoy yours!
Congrats on the upcoming wedding! Our son got married 10 yrs ago, and they have given us 4 beautiful gkids., So you gave that to look forward to!

Nice work. I came across your blog while “blog surfing” using the Next Blog button on the blue Nav Bar located at the top of my blogger.com site. I frequently just travel around looking for other blogs which exist on the Internet, and the various, creative ways in which people express themselves. Thanks for sharing.
