Welcome to Mosaic Monday hosted by Mary at Little Red House
My photo mosaic was vintage inspired...with each item holding a special memory and a special place in my heart...
Some of the things here belonged to my Grandma T, (like the silk screen printed floral picture, it now hangs in Mama's house), others are from my Mama's collection, (like the crystal door knobs and single skeleton key)...and then I've even added some of my own old bottles to the photo mosaic.
Old things really have a way of bringing back a memory, don't they? I think a lot of times when I'm out hunting treasures...I am drawn to something mostly because it brings back a memory of someone special to me. I've heard others say the same thing is true for them. Do you find that to be true for you too?
Is there anything here that brought back a memory for you? I'd feel honored to hear about it :)
Well, thanks for visiting me this Mosaic Monday....there are more photo mosaics to see at the links at Mary's Blog Little Red House, just click HERE and it will shuttle you over there. Thanks so much Mary, for hosting this event!
Hope you all have a happy day :)
Big hugs,
Queenie
p.s. For anyone that might be interested in making a photo mosaic (collage), I made mine through picnik it's really simple through that website. If I can do it, I think anybody can. Mary also gives a wonderful tutorial over at her blog, as well.

Hi Queenie,
Love your mosaic and thanks for letting me know where to go to make one for myself. Love the old keys and bottles.
Warmly,
deb
Wonderful vintage selections that hold memories....
What beautiful treasures...the door knobs are like the ones I had to my bedroom as a child! Such memories! Thank you! Cathy
I used Picasa but now I'm wondering if I should go into Picnik with my photos! I'll have to look around! I love vintage things..especially keys! ♥
Beautiful vintage, I love the sentiment in your treasures! Terrific mosaic!
Lovely vintage subjects for your mosaic, which turned out beautifully at picnik!
OMGoodness, what beautiful treasures. Yes, they did bring back memories. Thank you so much for sharing. And your mosiac is beautiful. . . Thanks for visiting my blog. I hope you will come back again. I will certainly be back to visit you. Hugs, Karie
Beautiful mosaic. Each of the items are special in their own way.
Love those glass doorknobs! I always thought it would be fun to change out our door hardware and have a collection of different knobs at our lake house :-)
Morning sis...love that gorgeous mosaic...those treasures are beautiful. Hope all is well with you and yours sweetie...just wanted to drop by and say I love ya girl and hope you have a fantastic week! Picket
Dear Queenie,
I love the glass doorknobs and the vintage flower picture - real treasures.
Oh yes I feel the same. Last year at a fleamarket I saw a little old porcelain set for children. And I remembered that I had the same as a child - wonder where it is. I bought it of course and it is now a deco in my kitchen.
At another flea I saw a set of bowls from the fifties. My grandma had the same and I remembered that she made yummy strawberry cakes in it. It was not expensive so I bought it and use it with lovely warm feelings on my grandma.
Have a nice week,
Tanja
These items are interesting to see.
Such lovely vintage elements. I'm especially attracted to the glass doorknobs - they remind me of those in my grandparents' house when I was a child.
Queenie, I've just discovered your lovely blog and am your newest follower. I have awarded you the Stylish Blogger Award. See rules for playing along here http://shabbyteaparty.blogspot.com Hugs
What a great blog! I love the doorknobs they so remind me of times at the grandparents house. S sweet.
Love the mosaic ~ of course you know "things" bring back memories to me ~ I once visited a cemetary and found all these glass bottles (like in your photo) coming out of the ground. Apparently, it was used for fill in the dirt and after many years, the bottles were coming to the surface :) Judi
Lovely mosaic! Have a great week!
Dear Queenie,
much thanks for your compliment in my blog. The little snow doggie is a biewer yorkie and we have two biewers. Do you know that breed? It´s a german breed but much more popular in the usa as here in germany. The most yorkie breeders in germany don´t like the biewers and call them mixes because of the three-coloured-fur but they aren´t mixes. They are very funny little clowns and very clever to get what they want. They speak with us the whole time. The highwhite one is Zorro and he loves snow as much as he loves us. His litterbrother is our Rambo, he is more black and very tiny but very intelligent and lovely. Rambo hates snow and rain and both love to be cuddled. Both are absolutely in love with children and I think this is very sweet. My husband wanted a big dog but now he is absolutely in love with our tiny clowns. A biewer is a wonderful friend.
lovely greetings,
Tanja

Love all your vintage items, Queenie. Lovely mosaic!...Christine
Hi Queenie!
Thank you for stopping by my blog for a visit and following me. Now I'm following you too *winks*
I do think you're right. All of your treasures made me feel nostalgic. Each one lovely. My Grandmother had very similar things in her home. She lived to be 106. She always had blue bottles in her kitchen window which looked out over the sea. I loved everything about my Grandmother. *winks* Her portrait hangs in my livingroom.....Hope that doesn't sound creepy LOL! Vanna
I love your vintage items! They look lovely in your mosaic! This would be a perfect post for the Home Sweet Home Party. Thank you for asking about it. I will have it on tonight, not too late. It explains that you can show us anything from your home and garden. It is a pretty wide open subject matter. I can't wait till the royal wedding, I will be parked in front of my TV watching it!

I love Picnik and pay for the extra special version :) I love old glass doorknobs and would love to collect them just to showcase in a big bowl but every one I see around here is just too expensive. :) Your mosaic is very pretty.
I've yet to do the mosaic thing but yours is lovley!
Bobby installed my glass door knob yearsterday! They remind me of my early childhood in seattle.
I mentioned you in my post today! ♥
